Congress is already lagging far behind in its efforts to regulate technology giants, and it’s unlikely that any meaningful legislation to address political misinformation and misuse of consumer data will emerge anytime soon. Recently, though, the U.S. Senate took first steps towards transparency as the race to build new systems with artificial intelligence will continue booming in 2024. American Semiquincentennial
As the Trump administration continues its plundering of democratic principles and the federal government, we as Americans are going to need a sobriety-check approaching the 250th Anniversary of our Republic. From civil society to our expectations of government, to the responsibility we share as citizens: We can’t just leave the health of our country to “leaders” whose self-preservation trumps the oath they take to represent the best interests of the people. Recovery and stability, if it can be achieved, begins in the heart and soul of each American. Leading up to USA250, I will attempt the moral, philosophical examination that I believe must originate within each of us, if we are to stake valid claim as the “greatest country” in the eyes of God and the world.
